Cara began dancing at the age of 7 at Jessica Morgan School of Dance, and went on to become a member of the Manchester High School Lancer Dancers during her freshman and sophomore years. As a sophomore, she was accepted into the Summer Residential Governor's School program for dance at Radford University. She later moved to Cosby High School and became a member of their dance team for the rest of her high school career, earning the position of Captain her senior year. Cara continued her dance education at Virginia Commonwealth University. 

Cara currently works as a Dance Teacher at Prestige Dance Studio right here in Chesterfield, teaching at both the competitive and recreational level. In 2021 Cara was nominated for Outstanding Lyrical Choreography and Dance Instructor of the Year through the RVA Dance Awards. In 2022, Cara was nominated again for Outstanding Lyrical Choreography and won the nomination. 

This is Cara's eighth year as the Head Dance Team Coach at MHS. She is so thankful to be a part of the Manchester family and is looking forward to many more years with the program! Go Lancers!
