Preseason workouts--September 10 update-- Go Lancers! :)
 

Important Information (and dates/times) for Manchester HS Girls Basketball summer workouts (note that these workouts are open to rising 9th-12th graders who are enrolled at Manchester and are interested in trying out for girls basketball in November)

1- Starting on July 1, 2017-- interested students must turn in a physical that is dated May 1, 2017 (or after) to the coaching staff......Coaches cannot allow students to work out if their physical is out-of-date

2- Please also note that there are 4 other pieces of paperwork that need to be completed to work out with the team (these must also be dated-- May 1, 2017 (or after) ....to participate in workouts, starting July 1, 2017

3- The forms are located on another page within this site (tab says 'Forms')....note that the forms have the following titles/per link:

a)  HCA Form

b)  Student Athlete Sportsmanship Expectation Form

c)  Insurance Form

d)  CDC Concussion Form

e)  VHSL Physical and Parental Consent  (**revised February 2017* is noted in top right corner of CORRECT form/pages)

4- VHSL designates July 2-July 8 and July 27-August 9 as 'dead periods' ....our coaching staff cannot be in contact with student-athletes during these times  (includes email, texts, etc.)

5-  Dates for June/July workouts (all workouts run 6:00-7:30 p.m.--workouts in MHS gymnasium......EXCEPT 7/24 and 7/26....these will be **outdoor workouts**...please bring proper footwear)

Tues. July 11,  Thurs. July 13

Mon. July 17,  Wed. July 19

**Mon. July 24,  Wed. July 26**

(remember--must have updated paperwork given to coaches-- to participate in July workouts)

6-August workout dates (as well as fall workout information-- and tryout information for November) will be posted later this summer

The MHS junior varsity girls basketball team continues to work hard and improve.  The team had a nice win over the Trinity j.v. team in late December.  Keep working hard ladies!  Go Lancers!
