All athletes MUST have the navy game sock ($10) and the white game sock ($10).  Please be sure to order a minimum of one pair of each.  Extras are recommended as typically we play 2 games/week.  

In addition; all athletes are expected to order the 2021 edition of the practice shirt (the short sleeve blue dri fit training top $15).  

All other purchases are optional.  Remember, IF you where long sleeves under your game uniform - it must be black sleeves.  ALL players must have the same color and we adopted black last year, therefore the long sleeve black dri fit top ($18) is recommended, but probably not needed this year as we are playing Apr-June.

The deadline to order is April 18.  Our first game is April 27.  Order early to ensure the socks are available for our first game.

Reminder.  Women's Soccer Tryouts are being held this week, starting Mon April 12 3:15-4:45 PM on the practice field.  Athletes MUST have all of the required paperwork completed in order to attend (athletes w/o the paperwork will not be allowed to stay).  Athletes must also have Masks, Water, Shin Guards in order to participate.  Rides must be arranged no later than 5:00 PM.  Contact coach Blevins  michael_blevins@ccpsnet.net if you have any questions. 

Continued wet weather throughout the day will continue to degrade the playing surface, making it unusable and potentially unsafe.  Out of caution and safety, today's Women's Soccer preseason workout is canceled.

We have had two weeks of great preseason workouts!  These were well attended by athletes that have completed/submitted ALL of their required paperwork.  The excitement for the upcoming season continues to build momentum!  ALL of this credit goes to the athletes that are putting in MAX effort to restart 12 months later what was shut down in March 2020.

As a reminder moving forward, we will meet after school from 3:30 - 4:45  Mondays (behind the gym) and Wednesdays (on the lower practice field).  This is subject to change based on field conditions.  Players are encouraged to follow the MHS Girls Soccer twitter account @lancers_soccer1

Our first preseason conditioning session is planned for next Wednesday, March 3 from 3:30-4:45 PM (weather permitting).  Athletes may only participate IF all 5 documents/forms have been completed and submitted.  Athletes may NOT stay if any of the documents/forms are missing.  Athletes should meet outside behind the gymnasium.  Contact coach Blevins at michael_blevins@ccpsnet.net with any questions.

It is time to complete all of your paperwork and get this submitted to Coach Blevins (preferably) or to Mr. Woodle (alternatively).  In order to participate in any team activities (including preseason work), athletes MUST have a current/completed VHSL physical (dated May 1, 2020 or after), Concussion Form, Sportsmanship Form, and Insurance Form.  Download/Print these forms from the Manchester HS Athletics webpage (click the "Forms" tab).  

***As of Jan. 20, there is one more required form.  The VCU Emergency Athletic Form must be completed as well.***

Athletes are reminded that the Spring season will be played later in 2021 than traditional.  Although no preseason work outs are scheduled at this time, athletes are encouraged to submit all completed paperwork to Coach Blevins via the main office at MCHS.
