Cosby got things started in the second inning. Cosby scored one run when Leiah Brown singled.
Cosby took the lead for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Ellie Talley singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Manchester Lancers Varsity notched four runs in the third inning. Manchester Lancers Varsity put the pressure on, lead by singles by Brooke Powell and Mia Wolfolk and an error on a ball put in play by Sadie Dempster.
Kam Brown got the start for Cosby. The pitcher lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and five runs while striking out five.
Bailey Jahna was on the rubber for Manchester Lancers Varsity. The righty went five innings, allowing seven runs on ten hits and striking out one. Megan Depew threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Powell, Dempster, Taylor Hendricks, Wolfolk, and Riley Koscinski each managed one hit to lead Manchester Lancers Varsity.
Cosby tallied ten hits. Laney Miller, Jordan Wise, and Ellie Talley all had multiple hits for Cosby.
