Currently, there are two optional pool practices over Spring Break.  The first will be Tuesday, April 3th 3:45-5:15 and the second will take place on Thursday, April 5th 3:45-5:15.  These will be held on campus at MHS and will be a combined session of JV and Varsity team members.  It is understood that families will have conflicting plans over Spring Break and that not everyone will be able to attend any/all of these sessions.  However, as we are playing three games back to back to back the following week, it is very important to get some practice touches on the soccer ball.  Therefore, EVERYONE is encouraged to attend if there is nothing else going on with family during that time.  Go Lancers!

Due to the anticipated rain, and as we have been discussing this week, today's training session will be held in the MHS gymnasium from 2:15-4:00 PM.  Please make sure that you have made the proper arrangements.  This is for both the Varsity and for the Junior Varsity teams.  Contact your coach is  you have any questions.  Thank you.

The Manchester Girls JV Soccer team is looking for a few more players for this Spring.  Any 9th or 10th grade soccer athletes that have completed the appropriate paperwork, including a VHSL physical and concussion forms, are invited to attend JV practice this Friday and Monday.  Practice will be held 2:15 - 3:45 on the lower practice field each day.

Girls Soccer Tryouts will be held M-Th (Friday if needed), beginning February 19, on the lower practice field from 2:15-3:45 PM daily.  Athletes must have turned in all of the appropriate/required paperwork in order to tryout. 

A detailed description of the required paperwork is available on the team information packet provided at the informational meetings or in the main office.

In addition, athletes must have a ride arranged to pick them up no later than 4:00 PM.  Do not stay if you do not have transportation prearranged ahead of time.

Players will be evaluated athletically and technically using individual drills, small sided activities, and some large team games.  We will be looking at first and second touch, passing weight and accuracy, movement with and without the ball, as well as over all positioning/spacing on the field

Attention!  Attention!  Due to deteriorating field conditions, the final girls soccer open field session for today has been moved.  It will now be held from 3:30-5:00 PM at River City Sportsplex, field #5.  This session will be held rain or shine, hot or cold.  Athletes should make arrangements to get transportation to and from River City at the new time.  Please check the Manchester Athletics page or email the coaches if you have any questions.  Go Lancers.

Due to the amount of rain on Monday and the continued precipitation on Tuesday, the Girls Soccer open field session scheduled for Weds., Jan. 31st has been canceled.  

The next opportunity will take place on Monday, February 5th, from 3:30 - 5:00 PM at River City Sportsplex.

Athletes are encouraged to continue to complete and return ALL required paperwork to the coaches and/or to the main office.  Go Lancers!
