Athletes interested in participating in any sport during the 2017/2018 school year must have a completed sports physical. Manchester is holding sports physicals on June 1 at the school. The cost is $30.00

Due to the inclement weather cancelation on March 1, the Boys Varsity and JV players will need to meet Coach Kaiser after school in the team room (boys) for the purpose of locker/lock issuance. This is required by the Director of Student Activities.

Just a reminder that sports physicals for the 2017/2018 school year will be available for $30 on June 1 in the gym at the MHS. These are good for all sports, and for the entire year. Why not know it out early.

JV players: If you are able to secure transportation and make this, Coach Kaiser has arranged for space at Own Touch from 2:45-4 today (4/25/17). You will need Futsal shoes.

The following documents are needed signed by player AND parent(s) in order for you to participate in tryouts.
- VHSL physical form (4pgs)
- Concussion forms (2pgs)
- Insurance information
- Sportsmanship form (CCPS)
- HCA form (for Athletic Trainer)
**ALL of these forms will be turned into Coach Chuck Johnson
***if you played a fall or winter sport all of these forms are already in the system, BUT you must notify the head coach if you have already participated in a fall or winter sport.
I am including additional information for the upcoming tryouts that will be conducted February 21-23 from 2:15-4 on the field near the bus loop below.
Evaluation Criteria:
- 1st and 2nd touch
- Passing accuracy
- Field awareness & decision making
- fitness level
- GOALKEEPERS – shot blocking, field awareness & decision making, fitness level, and distribution
Also, attendance is mandatory all three days, and all forms must be turned in to the coaches prior to participating in any tryouts. Athletes who participated in fall or winter sports do not need to submit another set of forms, but must inform coaches of this information.
Athletes should bring tennis shoes, studs, and guards to all three days of tryouts. Goal Keepers should bring gloves to all tryout sessions.
Finally, please see below regarding eligibility based on grades (from Mr. Cassem). Athletes trying out must bring a copy of their second semester report cards to tryouts.
The new semester eligibility begins on Saturday, January 28. On this day all student-athletes must be enrolled in courses adding up to 5 credits. Please make sure that none of your athletes dropped a class that would put them below 5 credits. Additionally, they must have passed a minimum of 5 credit classes for the semester.
It is your responsibility to check their grades to be certain they are still eligible for the second semester. Remember, freshman during the first semester were automatically eligible, but at the start of the second semester, they are now subject to the same credit requirements.
